*Records containing proper names of the bandleaders (aka Russ Garcia and His Orchestra, the Jimi Hendrix Experience) will be alphabetized by the person's last name, the same as if he or she were the sole artist.
*Albums containing songs from a film or TV series are treated differently from soundtracks and are not listed in that section - i.e., Henry Mancini's Peter Gunn is listed under the Mancini section. An 'official' soundtrack will usually feature the words 'Original Soundtrack Recording' or something similar.
*Most popular artists' Christmas albums (e.g., Elvis's) are listed in the Christmas section, not under that artist's name.
*Group/duo work is usually listed under the group name, if the group regularly work together - i.e., the Simon & Garfunkel listings are separated from the Paul Simon or Art Garfunkel solo listings.
*Popular or city orchestras will be listed under the conductor's name - i.e., Arthur Fiedler conducting the Boston Pops will be listed under Fiedler.
*Christmas-themed soundtracks will be listed in the Christmas section. Elvis and Beatles movie soundtracks will be listed under these respective artists' names.
